1. Sometimes I crave new connections, not to get a high so much as the false safety I feel if not being known. It's a broken way to think, but it's always been something in me.

  4. Someone left an index card in my mailbox saying "You are awesome sauce". I might have teared up a little. That joy was something I can't even articulate properly but it made some of the madness seem worth it. Kindness is a beautiful thing. I don't know who left the card for us, but I'm grateful to them.
