- You can reliably tell in my home who are the sensory seekers and the sensory avoiders based on which bathroom light they use. Partner and daughter like the bright, cool vanity style lights above the mirror. I am team warm soft overhead light. Ok, it's simplistic because I do seek sensory experiences and they avoid some types of sensory input, but I did notice our overall needs fall into their bucket or mine.
- Holy crap tf is up with the headlines about Tylenol? Dios mio, I can't. In the name of science, I would like to confirm that I didn't take acetaminophen during my own pregnancy. I don't believe in avoiding it if one needs it but I just ended up not taking it? I am autistic, partner is an ADHDer. Daughter is auDHD. I don't know, but perhaps inherited her wiring from us? I can't. Legit gonna get my popcorn when Tylenol sues.
- I'm planning some light activities to enjoy my time off, and gonna add a lot of rest and nap time! I usually abhor planning things, but the older I get the harder it is to remember what it's like to live. Like to just wake up and exist and be satisfied at the end of the day. If I'm not careful, I end up feeling paralyzed and wasting hours laying listless and bored, reaching for my phone and sinking time better served restoring. I think I want to do a few things. Take a walk, read, make poolish harvest bread. Restart my sourdough starter (Lord Souron perished in February, sadly.) I want to also make a new ginger bug (Ginny also perished, darn it). Finish a sock I'm making for one of my besties, and plan a new sweater. Like not start it, but think about it? I don't want to make it any more complicated than that. Even the reading might be something binge-worthy or a graphic novel/manga. I want to take a peek at the Procreate 5.4 update too. I heard they revamped brushes?
- I made a standing invitation Sunday mornings for my MIL to come visit and enjoy a sweet treat and coffee. It's been fun every week to plan what to make. So far it's been different types of muffins, snacking cakes, and cinnamon rolls. I'm debating this weekend whether to make a babkallah, or cinnamon coffee cake!
- Current Obsessions: Trying out new ways to exercise (I discovered the Japanese 3x3 method and it was nice!) Drinking coffee while listening to a short video essay. Counting the minutes until my long weekend starts. Autumn baked treats.
