Domplines Fritos, which is Spanish for for fried dumplings is a quintessential Ponce dish! Alongside the amazing King's Cream ice cream of course. They are little fried breads and can be used in many ways, from splitting them and adding sandwhich filling to filling with bacalao (salted codfish) a la tradicional or even plain. I sometimes make these on weekends for a brunch snack with café con leche, much like sorullitos, or as a side for dinner.
